Account Marketing Specialist

We are looking for an Account Marketing Specialist for Central Europe to join us on a 12‑month maternity cover. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving business development across the CE region by executing existing trade marketing plans and developing new initiatives together with our wholesale and franchise partners, as well as our Sales and Marketing teams.
You will own the full activation process — from ideation and planning to execution and recap — and work closely with both internal cross‑functional teams and a culturally diverse external partner landscape.
The position is based in our showroom office in Munich and you will report to Brand Activation Manager CE.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the main marketing contact for strategic key accounts and specialist partners within the CE market
Drive the execution of integrated brand campaigns across channels, while ensuring a strong focus on conversion and performance
Align all local activations with the global brand calendar and other brand marketing initiatives
Partner closely with the regional sales team to align marketing strategies, seasonal priorities, and prepare joint customer meetings
Document and recap activation results and learnings to continuously optimize future initiatives
Own the planning, tracking, and optimization of the seasonal account marketing budget

Hands‑on, proactive, and ownership‑driven — able to lead activations from concept to execution
Highly organized, with strong time‑management skills to balance multiple seasons and priorities
Confident working cross‑functionally and collaborating closely with the sales team
Job Requirements:
Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken
Minimum 3 years of experience in retail or account marketing across digital and brick-and-mortar channels
University degree or equivalent relevant professional experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Creative, solution-oriented mindset
Confident IT user, especially in PowerPoint, Excel, and similar tools

About Peak Performance
Back in 1986, two very passionate skiers, one of them a world-class mogul skier with several World Cup wins, were sitting next to each other in a chairlift heading up a mountain. About to test and write about a new skiwear line, they started to talk about why no one was making skiwear that they wanted to wear. Garments that combined excellent functionality with simple, attractive design. Also, they wondered if there was any way that they could stay longer and more often in the ski resort they both loved - the little mountain village Åre, in northern Sweden.
It turned out that the answer to both questions was Peak Performance. Initially, their ambitions didn’t extend much beyond making some clothes for themselves and their friends, in sufficient quantities to make a living from it. The business was shaped by what was important to them. Finding the right design and technical solution was paramount.
And the strategy worked. In the late 1980’s, people were tired of extravagance and superficiality. Everybody was looking for the real thing that comes with genuine quality. Ski jackets with leather details and flannel shirts were suddenly the answer, rather than neon and looking like a fully decorated Christmas tree. Orders generated by the first mail order catalog overwhelmed the little post office in town. So much so that they had to take on more staff just to keep up.
During the early years, most things took longer to do than they should have. After all, Peak Performance was a company founded by skiers – people who more than anything else wanted to ski some winter. Anyone who managed to find our little office in Åre was often confronted with a sign on the front door that read: Gone skiing.
